because I’m tired and I happened to think of this. (Predictably) contains mentions of blood and needles.
My favorite thing about vaccinations is when something like this happens.
nurse: gives me the injection
nurse: turns around to set the syringe down and get the bandage
nurse: turns back to my arm
my arm: is not bleeding, in fact has no visible needle mark whatsoever
nurse: hesitates with bandage halfway to my arm, frowns
me: “Can I just not get the bandage?”
nurse: “Yeah ok.”
Sometimes they insist on picking a spot at random to put the bandage on, though, which is annoying, because peeling the bandage off my hairy arm later is just as painful (if not moreso) than the actual injection.
Is this a low blood pressure thing? IDK.
